How 8 Weeks on Jenny Craig Made Me Happier

It’s true – 8 weeks on Jenny Craig has made me happier with me. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t miserable, I just had convinced myself that I was over 40 and I was going to be heavier than I was when I was younger. My metabolism had slowed down and so had I – or so I thought.
Then Christine and I had the opportunity to work with Jenny Craig and it has been life changing — for the better.
I noticed a change in my energy level after only a week on Jenny Craig. I wasn’t hungry, there were lots of choices and food, more than I was usually eating, but this time it was the right food – a balanced, planned out menu that was made with me in mind.
About the Jenny Craig Program – Members eat 6 times a day (3 main meals with 3 snacks) and follow personally-customized programs, including nearly 100 delicious menu items, personalized menus/activity and motivational plans. Members can still eat their favorite foods, there is no need to eliminate any food groups. No counting, tracking or worrying.
After 8 weeks on Jenny Craig, I’m not missing my seasonal favorites (like candy corn). I am loving pulling out clothes that had been put in the back of the closet (just in case I ever fit back in them – and I do!) more than candy corn.

In 8 weeks on Jenny Craig I have lost 15 pounds and 10 inches (combined from my bust, waist, abs and hips).* This is just the beginning for me, I’m feeling better, have more energy and enjoy being more active and feeling more comfortable in my clothes.

Am I at my ideal weight? No, not at all, but I feel more motivated than ever to work to get there.
Jenny Craig has put me on the right track and I am happier than I have been in a long time with my body.
What Will Be Your #JennnyCraigMoment
I kept cropping my photos and/or hiding behind my kids in pictures. It was seeing these images that really effected my self-esteem. The picture above of me was the one that really did it. It was a wonderful day with the family on the sandbar, everyone was having a great time and my husband took this picture of me with our son. I saw the picture and realized I was at the same age my father was when he started having trouble with his blood pressure, cholesterol and eventually diabetes.
