Anna Banana and the Chocolate Explosion and the companion book, Sleep Tight, Anna Banana! by Dominiqu Roques and Alexis Dormal – these picture comic style books are hit in our home. Our daughter has been reading them out loud to us at night.
Her favorite is Anna Banana and the Chocolate Explosion – it is laugh out loud funny and she loved showing us the illustrations as she read along. Anna decides that she’s hungry and the solution is to bake a chocolate cake with the help of her stuffed animals. The end result? Chaos in the kitchen and chocolate everywhere.
My favorite was was Sleep Tight, Anna Banana! (maybe that’s because I can’t stand a messy kitchen LOL) As a mom I know just how hard it is to get the kids to bed at night and Anna Banana is no exception.

The illustrations are simply charming and our daughter loved that it read like a comic book layout. I loved that Anna tucked each of her stuffed animals in, in the end and kissed them goodnight – to me that is the perfect way to end a day.
