We are thrilled the Boston Red Sox are World Series Champions!
We have been hoping for this series success and feel so lucky to be Boston Strong. After the bombings, Boston rallied behind our wonderful city to heal and get over those horrifying days after the Boston Marathon bombings.
The Red Sox win puts hope back in our hearts!
When we received these photos from our friends at Merlin Entertainment we just had to share it with our readers.
Merlin Entertainment is the world’s second biggest visitor attraction operator, which will include the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston. They were inspired by Boston’s big win, and created the replica! It’s so awesome and you can see it in May 2014!
Details of the Construction
“The Red Sox have delivered such indelible memories for kids and adults alike this season, so we were excited to build a unique creation that will continue to celebrate the joy they brought to so many,” said Kelly Smith, Marketing Manager for LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston.
Created by a Master Model Builder, the trophy weighs 9.75 pounds and took more than 80 hours to construct. LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston will be hosting a contest in the coming weeks where fans can vote to determine which iconic Boston landmarks will be featured in its MINILAND exhibit.
