Since I’ve started on Jenny Craig, so many people have been asking me about how it is to be on the program and how I like the food. I’ve really had plenty of time now after 5 weeks to truly get a feel for this program and why it’s working for me.

It’s so interesting how many people ask me how I like the food, like they don’t really think the food is tasty. I personally find the food to be very satisfying and that is why I’m not the weight I want to be! LOL.

This program isn’t about a party in every bite, it’s about relearning HOW I eat, the portions and I need the prepared food to teach me this. Everyone has a different thought on this, but personally, I’m in IT to WIN it. I don’t want to be a slave to bad food choices anymore. This program is teaching me to HONOR my body, HONOR my choices. And taking the guesswork out of the equation, so I can feel and look great! I DESERVE it.

Jenny Craig has carefully crafted my nutrition so I can continue on with my duties as a busy mom, wife and business owner. Right now, I honestly need my hand held. Even after 5 weeks, I still need the balance that Jenny Craig gives me. I need the weekly accountability of my weigh-ins and the counseling sessions. The re-calibration of my habits is starting to take hold. I’m not fully there yet, but I’m closer to it than I was 5 weeks ago. My whole mental outlook has changed in this area.
My Progress is Shocking
At my 4 week check-in I had a BIG surprise! At this milestone, you are weighed and have your measurements done. Last week I lost 1 pound, and I was thrilled, but the inches I lost STOLE THE SHOW!
I lost 12 inches from my body. TWELVE! A ruler size is GONE!
To be honest, I was shocked. I did see my body changing in the mirror, but who would have thought I would have lost 3 inches from each measurement starting at my bust-line to my hips. My clothes fit differently and it’s the inches that are melting away. THANK YOU, Jenny!
Do I cheat on my Jenny Craig?
Cheating isn’t the word for it, but I HAVE eaten out a few times on this program and I already know I’m making such better choices! I no longer need to eat my entire plate. I’m learning portions and to just know when I have eaten enough. It’s back to the celebration thing! I’d rather celebrate my new clothing size and better health than a huge meal. I’m in a different place now. A better place for my overall health.
The Cost to Lose Weight
Another misconception about Jenny Craig is how expensive it is. I swear by the mantra: You get what you PAY FOR!
Yes, some of the food is pricey, but food in general costs a lot of money in my region of the world. Good food tends to cost you regardless. So the price really doesn’t factor in. I have been out to dinner with friends in the Boston area where my portion of the bill was $50 for ONE meal. So when my meal plan comes out to be around $150 per week this includes 7 days of food;
