Dubbed “one of the hippest children’s artists” by FamilyFun Magazine, Laurie Berkner’s original songs, albums, DVDs, music videos, and books leave no doubt: Laurie is the uncrowned queen of children’s music and the power behind the progressive “kindie rock” movement. Laurie Berkner brings her “Rock Till You Drop Tour” with longtime bandmate Susie Lampert on keyboards to Boston on November 8 at the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre.
Laurie Berkner’s Boston concert will showcase many songs from her new album, The Ultimate Laurie Berkner Band Collection, plus an array of other fan favorites. The Ultimate Laurie Berkner Band Collection (due October 14th, Two Tomatoes Records/Razor and Tie) is a greatest hits compilation that includes songs from six of Laurie’s albums, plus three bonus tracks of previously unreleased material. With such popular hits as “Bumblebee (Buzz Buzz),” “Victor Vito,” “We Are The Dinosaurs,” and “Rocketship Run,” this all-ages show is sure to be one of the top family events of the year. Laurie Berkner was the first artist to ever appear in music videos on Nick Jr. and was featured in nearly all of the episodes of the channel’s Jack’s Big Music Show. She currently stars in the animated musical short-form series Sing It, Laurie! on the Sprout preschool channel (owned by NBC) and makes regular appearances on Sprout’s Sunny Side Up Show.
