This entire sunflower field in Newbury is part of the Essex County Greenbelt, this location is Hiller Field. Colby Farm plants and maintains the Sunflower field in Newbury for the enjoyment of the community.
Only minutes off of Route 95 North (Scotland Road exit) this is a great place to enjoy stop by and visit – bring your camera of course!
At anytime while in bloom you will see lots of people stopping to take a look, taking pictures (lots of pictures) as well as artists and photographers enjoying the view.
New this Year 2016
Parking is no longer allowed along the main road, Scotland Road. Please park at the Colby Farm Stand. The farm stand has placed a bridge across the marsh making it easy to get to the field.
Please note, there will be bees – likely many of them, after all, they enjoy the flowers too! Also, please be respectful of the flowers and the property.

Colby Farm just isn’t sunflowers – it is so much more – after you take your family pics (TIP – Why not get that holiday family card out of the way now?) stop into the farm stand – you will be surprised with all they offer!
Located in Newbury since 1960 this family owned and operated farm offers everything from fresh dairy and meat to produce and flowers. You may also find a few chickens in the parking lot (we did!) and beautiful locally grown fall decorations like corn stalks and pumpkins.
