Prepare to be Entertained with Heartbeat of Home
We were ready for a Mom’s Night Out and so excited to receive tickets to attend the opening performance of Heartbeat of Home at the Citi Performing Arts Center, Wang Theatre, Boston.
The evening opened with a few words from the award winning producer and director, John McColgan, known for his contributions to Riverdance.
From that moment on we knew we were in for a show!
The performance was action packed and energized
Bringing together dancers, vocalists, musicians and special effects – the artists together brought the audience on a journey, over the ocean, across the plains, atop a city skyline and around the world.
I never expected to see so many elements come together the way they did. With precision and intention, the movements of the dancers drew us in. The live vocals and music along with the action within the scenery gave each performance piece a life of its own.
Here’s the recipe for a spectacular evening performance of Heartbeat of Home:
- Stunning visual effects in an amazingly grandeur theatre
- Talented musicians bringing brass, string and percussion instruments to life
- Vocals that will have you hanging on each note
- Award winning dancers from around the world
- Proven, award winning, production, direction and choreography
Combine all of the above ingredients with:
- a splash of Irish dance
- a touch of Latin
- a dash of Afro-Cuban
- a sprinkle of flamenco
and serve – the results: an evening of entertainment that will have you clapping your hands and tapping your feet.
Christine and I laughed and even got teary eyed at parts – we each walked away with favorite performances, songs and dancers – and yet, we both agreed this was a wonderfully entertaining night out!
