Here’s the Complete 411 on Race to the Row
SOMERVILLE, Mass. (Aug. 19, 2014) – The Somerville Road Runners today announced that the second annual Race to the Row 5k will take place Sunday, Aug. 24, at Assembly Row in Somerville’s Assembly Square District. The race through Somerville’s newest neighborhood will provide a tour of the new outlets, apartments, restaurants, T station and courtyard at Assembly Row. Running around and through the development and along the Mystic River, the race will end with a free, outdoor pizza party and the opportunity for participants to have a front row view of the recently opened development.
Working together, Assembly Row and the Somerville Road Runners selected neighboring East Somerville Main Streets (ESMS) as the beneficiary of funds raised through Race to the Row. ESMSis a non-profit dedicated to improving the life of the East Somerville Community by creating investment, connection and pride in East Somerville’s business districts, the heart of the community.
“East Somerville is one of our closest neighbors and East Somerville Main Streets is a great partner. We are proud to have them as the beneficiary for this event and fully support their efforts to improve East Somerville,” said Andi Simpson, Marketing Director, Federal Realty for Assembly Row.
