Farmers Markets
We love shopping local and shopping fresh feels even better. We are spotting more and more farmers markets that open during the week. Just last week we stumbled upon the Ipswich Farmers Market and were able to stock up on locally grown berries, greens, peaches and honey. You can find the Ipswich Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 3:30-6:30 on the Center Green by the Visitor Center.
It is so great to take the kids to a Farmers Market, they are more likely to eat the fresh fruits and vegetables – especially if they pick them out.
More than Fruits and Veggies
One of the great things about Farmers Markets is the wide range of products you will find. We saw locally made jewelry, heard wonderful local musicians perform live and even found some handmade sail bags. Did I mention that we found baked items, dried fruits and granola? There were even dog treats and community organizers – dare I say a little something for everyone?
It was wonderful to see the sites and sounds of Ipswich on our walk to the farmers market. With Farmers Markets popping up on the local scene – its a great way to explore the area and learn more about your local growers.
