Plan to Stay for the Day
Plan to stay for the day – get there early for the best and closest parking spaces as well as shorter lines. If you are planning a return visit, consider their season pass, it pays for itself quickly and offers discounts and benefits.
Bring a cooler, but leave the glass and alcohol at home – neither are allowed at the park.
Have towels, life jackets (for little ones) sunscreen packed – but don’t worry if you forget something, their onsite store is packed with everything you might need.
Amenities
Water Country has everything you need for your stay from automated locker rentals, hot pizza and cold ice cream. Looking for a little luxury? Consider a cabana rental – where you can relax and still keep an eye on things.
What to Wear
Yes, you need to wear appropriate swimwear – cut off shorts are not allowed nor are zippers or belts allowed on rides. Guests that need to wear diapers are required to wear swim diapers in the water attractions.
Rides
Our kids loved the rides – the bigger and steeper the better. As a mom, I loved that the new line flow has the kids waiting at the bottom of the ride to get a float, allowing for a shorter wait on the stairs with fewer people.
Pools
I thought the kids would want to go on the rides all day – they didn’t. They loved going around and around and around in the whirlpool – they just couldn’t get enough of it. The wave pool and lazy river were also big hits.
So Much to See and Do
Water Country is spread out, be prepared to walk or move your location throughout the day depending on the ages of your family members and the activities they want to do. We started down by the ‘pirate’ and after lunch moved closer to the wave pool. Remember to wear flip flops or water shoes – this will help when the temperatures rise and the pavement heats up.
Have a great day!
