Easy Bisquick Sausage Balls – Great for Entertaining!
This is a ‘go to’ Mom’s Lifesavers recipe for hosting during the holidays. Our family loves these and we serve them with a variety of dipping sauces. Our favorite is ‘duck sauce’ but BBQ and chili sauce are also a big hit.
You can find the recipe on the box of Bisquick too if you are looking for it – its great to be able to pull the box right out of the pantry and not have to look for the recipe!
TIP – When making these, have some freezer storage bags on hand. The Easy Bisquick Sausage Balls recipe makes a ton, so its perfect for making a batch and freezing some for a last minute appetizer during holiday party and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 3 Cups of Original Bisquick
- 1 Pound of uncooked bulk pork sausage (you can find this in the freezer section and also with the bacon and hot dogs/deli area)
- 4 Cups of shredded cheddar cheese (a 16 oz bag)
- 1/2 Cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 Cup milk
- 1/2 tsp dried rosemary leaves crushed
- 1/2 tsp parsley flakes
- Sauces for dipping – try a variety for your guests: sweet mustard, BBQ, chili sauce and our favorite, duck sauce
How To
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and prepare your cookie sheet with cooking spray
- Using a large mixing bowl, mix together all of the above ingredients with the exception of the dipping sauces. This is a pretty hearty recipe to mix, you may want to roll up your sleeves and use your hands.
- Once mixed thoroughly, roll into 1″ shaped balls. The sausage balls will expand when cooking. Place on a cookie sheet
- Bake 20 to 25 until they are golden brown, remove from the pan using a spatula and serve warm.
- Put out a few different dipping sauces from savory to sweet!
