Fiddlehead Theatre Company Presents RENT

This live on stage performance, celebrating the 20th anniversary of RENT, will be running from February 5-21, 2016 at the Back Bay Events Center, located at 180 Berkeley Street Boston.
Set in the East Village of New York City, RENT is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the TONY Award® for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Jonathan Larson’s RENT has become a pop cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that resonates to this day.
About RENT
Loosely based on Giacomo Puccini’s opera La Boheme, RENT takes an intimate journey through a single year in the lives of a group of impoverished young artists and friends struggling to survive and create a life in New York City’s East Village. With music by three-time Tony winner Jonathan Larson, this moving tale will capture your heart and remind you that there is “no day but today.” Songs include “Seasons of Love,” “Rent,” and “We’re Okay.” Don’t miss the unforgettable experience that will run from Feb 5th – Feb 21st, 2016.
RENT will run for 8 performances: Friday Feb 5 at 8pm, Saturday Feb 6 at 8pm , Sunday Feb 7 at 2pm, Saturday Feb 13 at 8pm, Sunday Feb 14 at 2pm, Friday Feb 19 at 8pm, Saturday Feb 20 at 8pm and Sunday Feb 21 at 2pm
RENT is loosely based on the opera La Boheme by Giacomo Puccini, originally published in 1896. Book, music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson. Originally directed by Billy Aronson. RENT is the 10th longest running Broadway musical ever, having ran for 12 years.
RENT will be Directed by Stacey Stephens, Choreographed by Wendy Hall, and accompanied by a five-piece band under the direction of Nathan Urdangen.
Fiddlehead Theatre Company will conclude its 21st season with the classic musical Show Boat at the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theater, 265 Tremont Street, Boston, from June 23-July2, 2016.
