4 Spooky Tips for Hotel Transylvania 2 Party!

We are so excited for the upcoming release of Hotel Transylvania 2 here at Mom’s Lifesavers. We have already headed over to Fandango and signed up for their Fandango FanAlert so that we would be the first to know when tickets and other exclusives are available in our area – you can too!

We love a good family party and getting ready for the release of Hotel Transylvania 2 is no exception. We grabbed our DVD copy of the original Hotel Transylvania and planned some fun snacks and treats for a review, viewing – after all, we can’t wait for the new release of Hotel Transylvania 2 in theaters on September 25, 2015.

Mom’s Lifesavers Party Recipes!

We had a blast getting ready for our party and want to share some of our recipes for the party we created to celebrate this super fun movie.

1. Murray Mummy Dogs

These are a huge hit with the kids. The trick is to cut the crescent roll dough with a pizza cutter to get nice thin strips to layer over the hot dogs. We used the green candy eyes to look like the ones Murray has. Place the eyes, slightly tucked under the dough before baking. Bake until golden brown using the package instructions.

2. Blobby Popcorn Blobs

Popcorn is synonymous with the movies – so we had to have a popcorn snack. We popped popcorn and coated it with caramel apple flavored candy wafers (which we microwaved). Once the popcorn was completely coated we dropped it onto parchment paper in ‘blobs’ and added 2 candy eyes.  Allow the popcorn to ‘set’, letting the candy coating harden and serve it up – enjoy.

3. Cockroach Ice Cubes

We purchased some novelty cockroaches and set them into an ice cube tray with water (use juice if you want to make them look even creepier) and let them freeze overnight. Note: We don’t recommend smaller bugs, ants, etc. After all, we don’t want anyone ingesting or swallowing these – they are for fun only.

4. Vampire Teeth Napkin Rings

Perfect for your table setting, pair up plastic fangs with a paper or cloth napkin. The teeth make a fun and easy party favor too.
