Week In Review for July 27, 2014
How is your summer going?
Is it flying by? Are you starting to see all the back to school ads and supplies?
Here at Mom’s Lifesavers we can’t wish away the summer after that looooonnnnngggg winter.
Our Week In Review this week includes an unplanned visit to turtle paradise (that’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle paradise), an amazing gift book – unlike any we have ever seen, and a coloring contest by a local farm favorite!
Coloring Contest with Cider Hill Farm, Amesbury, Massachusetts
Cider Hill Farm offers Farm Hands, a summer program for kids ages 5-9. Check out their summer coloring contest, enter to win and you could be selected to receive a free week of the Farm Hands program. See out complete post on the contest here or check out Cider Hill Farm online for details here.
Following Featherbottom – Amazing Gift Book!
This amazing gift book, Following Featherbottom, is like no other. I just ordered one for my godson for his first birthday.
Not only were we able to include his entire name (including middle name AND nickname) but also some of the places that our family is from – like Brooklyn!
Follow the stork Featherbottom as he travels the globe looking for all the letters of your child’s name, and just in time for the ‘delivery’ of the child.
Our little one loved her copy and you can bet we will be giving more as gifts!
Check out our complete post here for more images from the book, Following Featherbottom and how to order.
Visiting Shellback Artworks, Wells, Maine
We were on an adventure (shoe shopping for our son – ugh!) when we drove past Shellback Artoworks in Wells, Maine. It was the best decision I had made ALL day!
Our son had a great time and the owner Steve Lavigne, known for his work with the comic book series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT), was incredible!
Steve shared stories, signed a comic book and shirt for us and even told us about the art lessons he provides.
We can’t wait to head back and sign up for some classes. Here is our complete post on Shellback Artworks.
